In 2019 December Dewald Pretorius joined the team in Madagascar. Popcorn was introduce and Irat 200 was refined to form what we now call Irat 200 Plus. Agrima refined Irat to what we believe is the maximum potential and trials were done on Pan 6616, 156, 124 and 190 which all proved strong varieties for Madagascar Hybrids. They all achieved results above 8tons/ha and some of them over 9 tons/ha.

Agrima also performed other trials on the following local varieties:

Sorghum, Black eyed beans, Peanuts in demand of Mr Jean Mari Bains. Again the same result was obtained that the quality of seed and refining process was not up to international standards. It was also due to the situation of covid19 that importations were halted to compare these results against modern varieties.
